According to the National Food Supply Company (Conab), the estimate for production is record and presents growth of 12.1% over the previous period. This is the 11th company study, developed from July 22nd to 26th.<\/p>\n<p>According to Conab, the expansion is mainly due to soy and maize cultures, with 10.7% and 17.6% growth of cultivated areas, respectively. Production of soy rose 22.7% (81.46 million tonnes) and maize (45.14 million tonnes), 15.4%. The total cultivated area is 53.27 million hectares. Soy culture covers the main area, with 27.72 million hectares.<\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian Institute for Geography and Statistics (IBGE) forecast for the Brazilian grain crop, of leguminous and oleaginous plants, rose 1.2% in July over June. The expectation is for the crop to grow 16.1%, reaching 187.9 million tonnes.
