The previous estimate was 2.32%.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Focus Bulletin, financial sector businessmen expect a slight decline in inflation: from 5.83% to 5.82% in the Broad Consumer Price Index (IPCA, in the Portuguese acronym), i.e. the official measure of inflation in the country. <\/p>\n<p>Next year, the financial market is expecting the GDP to grow less and inflation to increase. According to the poll, prices should be up 5.85% and the country&rsquo;s economy should be up 2.28% from 2013. The prior forecast was 2.3%. Foreign direct investment is expected to amount to US% 60 billion in 2013 and another US$ 60 billion in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The Focus Bulletin has also shown that financial institutions are expecting the US dollar to be selling for R$ 2.36 in 2013 and R$ 2.40 in 2014.
