According to figures issued this Tuesday (1st) by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP, in the Portuguese acronym), gas output was up as well.<\/p>\n<p>In August, 77 million cubic metres of natural gas were produced perd already, up 7.9% from August 2012 and up 1.9% in August from July 2013. Combined Brazilian oil and gas output stood at 2.495 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe\/d).<\/p>\n<p>According to the ANP, output in the pre-salt layer amounted to 302,000 bbl\/d and 10.1 million cubic metres of natural gas. Output stood at 365,600 boe\/d, up 1.9% from July 2013.
