The penetration rate of imported goods was 21.8% in quarter three, up 0.7 percentage point from quarter two. The organization reports that the rate has increased for the 14th straight quarter.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The indicator&rsquo;s increase is mostly due to difficulties on the supply side, and the loss of competitiveness of the Brazilian industry,&rdquo; according to a CNI press release about the survey, which is titled Coefficient of Trade Openness, conducted in partnership with the Foreign Trade Studies Centre Foundation (Funcex).<\/p>\n<p>In the processing industry, according to the CNI, the share of imported goods was 20.3%, up 0.6 percentage point.
