The campaign was launched on September 30th at the Arab Brazilian Chamber headquarters, in S&atilde;o Paulo.<\/p>\n<p>In a communiqu&eacute;, the head of the Unrwa Health Programme, Akihiro Seita, said the sum raised thus far will suffice to furnish two of the agency&rsquo;s healthcare centres with electronic patient systems and to purchase an ultrasound device for prenatal exams. Approximately 72,000 people will benefit. <\/p>\n<p>In the same communiqu&eacute;, the director of the United Nations Information Centre in Brazil, Giancarlo Summa, said the Unrwa still needs more donations nonetheless. &ldquo;It must be understood that this humanitarian aid is crucial if the basic assistance services provided by Unrwa are to be maintained.
