The event is for Chamber members only. Registration is free of charge and available by email (view contacts below).<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He should discuss the challenges facing Brazil&rsquo;s economy in 2014, and the outlook for this year and 2015,&rdquo; says Arab Brazilian Chamber CEO Michel Alaby. &ldquo;He will speak on future trends for the inflation rate, the interest rate, foreign trade, the fiscal deficit and the balance of payments,&rdquo; the executive explains. <\/p>\n<p>Mendon&ccedil;a de Barros is the founder of macroeconomic analysis and consulting firm MB Associados. During the first term in office of Brazil&rsquo;s former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso (1995-98), he was the Economic Policy secretary to the Ministry of Finance. Barros is a member of the Board of Managers of bank Santander Brazil, of BM&amp;F Bovespa, and of construction company Tecnisa, and writes for newspaper <em>O Estado de S.
