São Paulo – The number of new vehicles licensed in the month of February dropped 17% in comparison to the previous month, according to data from the National Association of Motor Vehicles Manufacturers (Anfavea) posted this Thursday (11).<\/p>\n
According to the balance by the entity, 259,328 vehicles were sold last month. In January, sales of new cars reached 312,618. In relation to February 2013, it was up 10.3%.<\/p>\n
Brazil’s vehicle production was up 18.7%. A total of 281,452 units were produced in February, against 237,186 in January. In comparison to February 2013, there was an increase of 16.9%.<\/p>\n
In the agricultural machinery segment, 5,615 units were sold in February, as against 3,772 in January, up 48.9%. In relation to February 2013, machinery sales declined by 9.6%. The number of units sold dropped 17% in February in relation to January.
