São Paulo – The Arab Film Cycle opens this Friday (25th) in Rio de Janeiro, featuring nine productions from countries in the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America. The event is held by the Institute of Arab Culture (Icarabe) in partnership with the Science and Culture Forum of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and Argentina’s Cine Fértil. The festival will continue until the 28th. <\/p>\n
The films will be screened at theatre Cine Joia, and were a part of the eighth edition of the Arab World Film Festival, which took place last year. The works shown will include Sob o Véu do Islã (Under the Veil of Islam, made in Brazil), The Lebanese Rocket Society (Lebanon\/France), Condom Lead (Palestine) and Death for Sale (Belgium\/France\/Morocco), among others.<\/p>\n
