São Paulo – The Arab Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIAP, in the Portuguese acronym) holds on June 3rd and 4th the second Portuguese-Arab countries Economic Forum in Lisbon. The goal is to foster business between Arab and Portuguese companies.<\/p>\n

According to information from the CCIAP, the schedule for the first day will have a conference-like format with panels on tourism, small and medium business, infrastructure, agriculture and foodstuff.<\/p>\n

The second day will be devoted to matchmaking rounds between Portuguese and Arab companies. According to the CCIAP, over 300 companies from Portugal took part of the forum’s first edition.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese prime-minister, Pedro Passos Coelho, and the president of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, Adnan Kassar will take part of the event, according to the organization. The lecturers will include government and sectorial organizations representatives besides companies’ executives.<\/p>\n

The CCIAP said Portuguese exports to the Arab world accounts for 4.27% of all the company sells abroad. As regards service exports, they answer to 6% of the total.<\/p>\n
