He will discuss the prospects for the Brazilian economy on August 19th, Tuesday, at the organization&rsquo;s offices on S&atilde;o Paulo&rsquo;s Paulista Avenue. Attendance is free but slots are limited. <\/p>\n<p>Gianetti is discussing the current scenario in Brazil from economic and ethical perspectives, the social consequences of economic transformation, and the opportunities and challenges facing the country. The event is part of the Arab Chamber Lecture Cycle. <\/p>\n<p>The economist is also a social scientist and professor at the Brazilian Capital Markets Institute (Ibmec, in the Portuguese acronym). He is one of the best-known Brazilian economists of our time, and served as a professor at the University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom, in the 1980s, and at the School of Economics, Administration and Accountancy at the University of S&atilde;o Paulo (FEA-USP in the 1980s and 1990s.<\/p>\n<p>Gianetti holds degrees in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of S&atilde;o Paulo (USP) and a PhD in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
