The figure is 63% higher than in the first stage of presidential elections in 2010. The abstention rate (the number of apt voters who did not show up) also increased, from 55.5% to 59.9%.<\/p>\n<p>The vote count from 954 voting machines were set up in 135 cities across all continents, the results were as follows: the candidate from PSDB (the Party of Brazilian Social Democracy), A&eacute;cio Neves, had 49.51% of votes, as against 26.01% for Marina Silva, from PSB (the Brazilian Socialist Party).
