According to figures released this Monday (6th) by the National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea) motor vehicle exports, including automobiles, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, amounted to 26,724 units last month, down 41.2% from 45,441 units shipped in September last year.<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural machinery exports amounted to 1,354 units in September, down 16.1% from 1.613 units shipped in September 2013. Revenues from exports of automobiles, light commercial vehicles, buses, trucks and agricultural machinery amounted to US$ 927.5 million, down 35.3% from US$ 1.4 billion in September 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The figures released by Anfavea show that exports from the industry have also declined year-to-date. According to an Anfavea press release, 262,007 units were exported from January to September this year, including autos, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, down 38.5% from 425,948 in the comparable period of 2013. Export revenues stood at US$ 8.9 billion year-to-date through September. In the comparable period last year, sales fetched US$ 12.4 billion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Production and sales in Brazil <\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>In September, 300,845 vehicles were made in Brazil, down 6.7% from September 2013 but up 13.7% from August this year. Year-to-date through September, 2.3 million units were made, down 16.8% from 2.8 million units in the comparable period of 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural machinery and road equipment production amounted to 6,567 units in September, down 25.2% from September 2013. Year-to-date, 63,815 units were made, down 15.8% from the comparable period in 2013. <\/p>\n<p>Domestic sales resumed growing in September from August this year. In September, 296,294 new domestic-made and imported automobiles, light commercial vehicles, buses and trucks were licensed. In August, newly licensed vehicles amounted to 272,492 units.
