Brasília – The Brazilian industry’s output indicator had a slight improvement in September, reaching 49.7 points, compared with the previous month, when it stood at 48.2 points. The data was disclosed this Thursday (23rd) by the National Confederation of industries (CNI), and it is part of the sector’s Industrial Survey. The indicators range from 0 to 100, and figures below 50 show worsening expectations.<\/p>\n
“There was some improvement from the current situation, but this does not reflect an improvement in expectations for the coming months. There was also a slight reduction in idleness rate,” said Flávio Castelo Branco, executive manager at CNI. According to CNI economist Marcelo Azevedo, however, the result is “better news than others” announced in 2014. He also points out that the industry’s slowdown has lost momentum, but remains significant.<\/p>\n
