It was the third straight monthly increment in the Brazilian Central Bank&rsquo;s Economic Activity index (IBC-Br), which was released this Monday (17th). Activity was up 1.5% in July and 0.27% in August, also based on seasonally adjusted data. <\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year in August, the index was down 0.24%. Year-to-date, economic activity was up 0.01% based on seasonally adjusted figures. In the last 12-month period, the IBC was up 0.6%.<\/p>\n<p>The IBC-Br monitors the Brazilian economic performance.
