The highest increments took place in the states of Bahia (3.6%), Rio de Janeiro (1.9%), Amazonas (1.7%) and S&atilde;o Paulo (1.1%).<\/p>\n<p>Industry output also increased in Santa Catarina (0.8%), Par&aacute; (0.6%) and Esp&iacute;rito Santo (0.6%). Conversely, production dropped in seven localities, most notably Cear&aacute; (-4.9%), Pernambuco (-4.6%) and Minas Gerais (-3.3%).
