In October and November, the index was respectively up 1.8% and 3.6%.<\/p>\n<p>The decline to 84.9 points in December was driven by poorer current scenario assessments from poll respondents. The Current Situation Index dropped by 1.5% to 84.6 points in preliminary December results. The index has stabilized, following an 8.3% increase the prior month.
