For domestic flights, boarding fees have increased by an average of R$ 2.21. For international flights, the new fees range from R$ 28.67 to R$ 85.99.<\/p>\n<p>The highest domestic charge is for &ldquo;category 1&rdquo; airports, including but not limited to Congonhas (S&atilde;o Paulo), Santos Dumont (Rio de Janeiro) and Salgado Filho (Rio Grande do Sul). The full list is available on the website of the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac).<\/p>\n<p>According to Anac, the new rates are designed to meet the costs of boarding services, connections, landing, permanence and storage of import and export cargo.
