The survey shows industry output in Amazonas declined the most in Q1, by 17.8% from a year ago. <\/p>\n<p>Production also declined in Cear&aacute; (-5.9%), Bahia (-12.5%), Minas Gerais (-8%), Rio de Janeiro (-6.3%), S&atilde;o Paulo (-5.4%), Paran&aacute; (-10.5%), Santa Catarina (-7%), Rio Grande do Sul (-8.8%) and Goi&aacute;s (-0.8%). Industry production in the Brazilian Northeast was down 5.8%.<\/p>\n<p>The areas where industrial production increased were Par&aacute; (8.7%), Pernambuco (2%), Esp&iacute;rito Santo (20.9%) and Mato Grosso (3.9%).
