According to information from <em>Ag&ecirc;ncia Brasil<\/em>, Dilma signed this Monday the concession contract of the Rio-Niter&oacute;i bridge and in the ceremony stated that the government expects to achieve the same results in the new round&nbsp;than the ones from the first round, when highways and airports were passed on to the private sector in 2012 and 2013. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We believe that it [the concessions program] will be as successfull as the first one. This one will be a slightly broader concessions program because it will offer not only highways, but [also] railways, airports, ports and other concessions&rdquo;, she said. <\/p>\n<p>In the first phase, the government passed on to the private sector 25,000 kilometers of highways, which must reach R$ 32 billion (US$ 10.6 billion) in investments during the contract period.
