The first sale was done in the second half of last year and a second batch was shipped last month. In total, 600 pairs were sold to a single client in the Emirate.<\/p>\n<p><!--[{![cemb_9_707759_2]!}]--><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s the store of a Brazilian woman that is married to an Arab man. She owns a store that only sells Brazilian shoes&rdquo;, says Ana Carolina Martori, director of Style and Product Development and responsible for the brand&rsquo;s sales abroad. &ldquo;She was looking for fine shoes and another manufacturer recommended us. <\/p>\n<p>According to Martori, among the pairs shipped to the Arab stores are scarpins, Chanel-style shoes (with open heels), pumps (high sole in front), ballerina flats and peep-toes (with a toe opening). &ldquo;She likes shoes with neutral colors and also with snake prints&rdquo;, says the director about the purchases made by the businesswoman from Dubai. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Some shoes we sell according to our models, others we exchange the heels or add a rubber sole so they won&rsquo;t make noises&rdquo;, reveals Martori about the adaptations done for sales to the UAE. <\/p>\n<p>Besides the Gulf country, the S&atilde;o Paulo state-based brand also ships its products to the United States and Paraguay. Sales abroad started in 2006 but represent only 5% of production for the company, which currently manufactures 180 pairs daily, but has a capacity for 300 pairs per day. <\/p>\n<p>Martori is the one that creates all of the shoes by the brand that carries her name. In a year, she creates 200 new models. All of them are made of leather. &ldquo;We focus quality and comfort. We have a perfect shape. Mine is a high-added-value product. <\/p>\n<p>Carolina Martori manufactures only women shoes. The sizing scale goes from 33 to 43 (5 to 13 in the US; 35 to 45 in Europe), but the Arabs, says the shoes designer, wear from 34 to 39 (6 to 10 in the US; 36 to 41 in Europe).
