The United States currency was selling for R$ 3.183 at closing time this Tuesday (7th), up R$ 0.04 (1.29%). The dollar&rsquo;s exchange rate against Brazilian currency was the highest since May 29th, when it had closed at R$ 3.187.<\/p>\n<p>The American currency kept climbing throughout the day. Around 3:30 pm, it peaked at R$ 3.199, but lost steam during the final hours. The dollar has appreciated by 2.36% to date in July and 19.7% to date in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The US currency soared around the world due to tensions surrounding the Greek debt talks. Today, Eurozone finance ministers convened in Brussels to discuss the outcome of last Sunday&rsquo;s referendum, when Greeks rejected the deal offered by the country&rsquo;s creditors.
