The information was released this Friday (11th) by the National Supply Company (Conab).<\/p>\n<p>Higher output in the second maize crop in the Southeast, Midwest and in the state of Paran&aacute; was one of the drivers of growth. Maize output reached 54.5 million tons, a 12.6% increase. Soy production also showed significant growth at 11.8%, to 96.2 million tons.<\/p>\n<p>Conab has reported 143 million hectares of planted area, 1.7% more than in 2013\/14.
