São Paulo – The international marble and granite industry show Vitória Stone Fair – Marmomacc Latin America will feature an exhibitor from Egypt. The expo will run from February 16th to 19th, 2016 in Vitória, the capital of Espírito Santo, and the exhibitors will include Marmoles de Egipto, a company based in Spain with manufacturing operations in Alexandria, Egypt, an Arab country in Africa. <\/p>\n
The company’s website informs that it has distribution centers in Spain and Argentina and is active in manufacturing, imports and exports of all types of marble, granite, limestone travertine. It specializes in marble from Egypt and Spain, but offers products from around the world. <\/p>\n
In addition to featuring Arab exhibitors, the Vitória Stone Fair often gets visitors from the region, who come to Brazil to see the local marble\/granite production. The show is a meeting point for the industry, offering new product launches and business opportunities to Brazilians and foreigners alike. The organizers report that the event welcomes distributors, importers, builders and architects from 50-plus countries. <\/p>\n
The expo’s press office says the Vitória Stone Fair is primarily sought by importers from the United States, Canada and Mexico. North America is the leading buyer of ornamental stones from Brazil. These three countries combined took in 67.8% of Brazilian exports in the first half of this year, generating USD 417.8 million in revenues. <\/p>\n
In 2015, the Vitória Stone Fair welcomed some 25,000 visitors and featured 420 exhibitors. Brazilian exhibiting companies accounted for 72% of total exhibitors, with foreign companies accounting for 28%. Most were ornamental stone producers, but some were manufacturers of inputs or of machinery and equipment, as well as service providers and business entities. Visitors came from 57 countries and 10% were foreigners, according to the fair’s website. <\/p>\n
The fair is organized by Milanez & Milaneze in cooperation with VeronaFiere and held by the Espírito Santo Ornamental Stone, Limestone and Quicklime Industries Union (Sindirochas) and by the marble and granite technology center Centro Tecnológico do Mármore e do Granito (Cetemag). <\/p>\n
