The data was released this Thursday (15th) by the Secretariat of Agricultural Policy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.<\/p>\n<p>Agricultural production contributed with BRL 309.2 billion\/USD 81.37 billion (+0.8%), and livestock with BRL 172.2 billion\/USD 45.32 billion (+2.2%). This year&rsquo;s VBP is the highest of the series that began in 1989, says the general coordinator of Studies and Analysis of the Secretariat of Agricultural Policy, Jos&eacute; Gasques.<\/p>\n<p>According to Gasques, crops with the best results are: onion (+183.6%), black pepper (+64.1%), soy (+4.9%), maize (+4.2%), wheat (+1.1%) and cotton (+1.1%).
