Since the plant was already two-feet tall, it was donated to the university for the celebration.

The planting of the tree was attended by Usek authorities and diplomats from the countries involved. According to Khatlab, the action was intended to symbolize Lebanon’s friendship with Latin America.

*Translated by Gabriel Pomerancblum

A tree originally from Paraná state capital Curitiba was planted last week in the gardens of Lebanon’s Usek university to mark the 70th anniversary of the Arab country’s diplomatic ties with Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.

[106

0":"post-52384","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-foreign-affairs
A tree originally from Paraná state capital Curitiba was planted last week in the gardens of Lebanon’s Usek university to mark the 70th anniversary of the Arab country’s diplomatic ties with Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay.
["GET
