The estimate is down 1% from the forecast for 2015, released in November of this year as part of the Systematic Survey of Agricultural Production. <\/p>\n<p>Despite the smaller total crop, a record-high output of soy, the country&rsquo;s primary cereal crop, is expected at 101.5 million tons for next year, up 4.7% from this one.<\/p>\n<p>However, rice and first-crop maize outputs should be smaller than this year, with 0.7% and 2.3% declines, respectively.
