The Brazilian Central Bank&rsquo;s Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br) was released this Friday (18). Year-on-year in October, the index is down 6.19%. Year-to-date through October, it slid 3.66%. In the 12 months leading up to October, the IBC is down 3.16%.<\/p>\n<p>IBC-Br tracks the evolution of Brazilian economic activity on a monthly basis. It incorporates data on activity levels across the three sectors of economy: industry, trade and services, and agriculture.
