In all, more than 1.5 million of 60-kg bags of the product were shipped. Both revenues and volumes traded increased a little more than 10% in comparison to 2014, according to data released this Tuesday (19th) by the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecaf&eacute;).<\/p>\n<p>Exporters had a positive year in 2015. In all, Brazil exported 36.89 million bags last year, a record volume, according to Cecaf&eacute;, despite &ldquo;two years of severe drought&rdquo; in the crops. The council graded the result as surprising. <\/p>\n<p>The total shipped last year was 1.3% higher than the 2014 results. Revenues, however, dropped 7% to USD 6.1 billion. The average price of the bag declined 8.2% from one year to the other, according to Cecaf&eacute;.<\/p>\n<p>However, with the strong appreciation of the dollar&nbsp;against the real throughout last year, exporters earned more in reais.
