S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 A conference in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, will tackle Arab economies and their future, on April 13 and 14. Held by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, the event is intended to analyze the progress made and challenges facing the region. <\/p>\n
Speakers will include public and private sector delegates and leaders from federations, organizations, and from both Arab and global institutions. Financing will be one of the topics. The goal is establishing a framework for overcoming current issues and preparing for the future, in tune with the perspectives and changes that the modern global economy entails. <\/p>\n
The General Union is organizing conference, entitled \u201cArab economy: challenges in growth, financing and future perspectives,\u201d with support from the president of the Council of Ministers of Lebanon, Tammam Salam, in partnership with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Lebanon. <\/p>\n
Registration opens at 9pm and the opening session is scheduled for 10am. Two panels will follow: one will cover present and future investment and Arab banks, and the other one will address the oil, gas and energy industry scenario and outlook. On the 14th, the agenda will cover industrial and economic zones and their role in sustainable development, the future of smart cities and communications industry trends. Speakers and attendees will include government authorities, parliament members, commerce chamber presidents, banking industry leaders, executives from institutions and organizations, economists, scholars and strategic affairs specialists, according to information from the General Union.<\/p>\n
