São Paulo – What it takes to export will be one of the topics of the 2016 Entrepreneur Fair, set to run from Saturday (20) to Tuesday (23) at São Paulo’s Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion. The exhibition is held by the local chapter of the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and will feature a slew of opportunities and solutions for actual or aspiring business owners.<\/p>\n

Selling to Arab countries will be one of the topics at hand at Espaço de Negócios (Business Area), created by Sebrae to provide guidance on how to export. On Saturday, at 6pm, the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce <\/strong>Market Intelligence coordinator João Paulo Paixão will deliver the lecture “How to sell to the Arab market.” The lecture will be repeated on Tuesday at 11am. <\/p>\n Each activity will last one hour. According to Paixão, he will discuss the Arab market’s potential, the products Brazil exports to and imports from Arab countries, the role played by micro and small businesses in that trade, and the services rendered by the Arab Chamber. Questions from the public will also be addressed. The activity will also involve the Arab Chamber’s Sales and Marketing manager José Cristóvão and other professionals. <\/p>\n The expo and Business Area activities are free of charge. Besides the Arab market, the event will cover the Latin American market, websites that can be helpful in exporting, the Brazilian Postal Service’s Exporta Fácil (Easy Export) system, the export services offered by the São Paulo Trade Association, opportunities in the Chinese market, global consumption trends, etc. <\/p>\n At the Business Area, 11 international trade-related organizations will provide assorted advice, including the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), Investe SP, the Federation of Industry of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp), the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, etc. An area will also be available for networking.<\/p>\n “The Entrepreneur Fair offers a very broad range of possibilities. While the current economic scenario is not a very stable one for employees, this could be the perfect opportunity for workers to start their own business, in Brazil or elsewhere,” said Sebrae-São Paulo superintendent director Bruno Caetano, according to promotional material.<\/p>\n The Entrepreneur Fair will also feature attractions other than export guidance. According to Sebrae-São Paulo, it is Brazil’s biggest event on entrepreneurship and 120,000 visitors are expected. Over 50,000 training actions and deals worth a combined BRL 8 million (USD 2 million) will take place.
