São Paulo – The Brazilian publisher Editora Zahle is releasing, on Tuesday, March 1st, the third edition of the book Líbano – Um Oásis no Oriente Médio<\/em> (Lebanon – An Oasis in the Middle East), by the writer Roberto Khatlab. A guide to the Arab country, it covers tourism, history, archaeology, religion and culture. The launch event will take place at the restaurant Zahlé Mezze Libanesa, in Fortaleza, Ceará. The publisher is based in Teresina, Piauí. <\/p>\n Zahle describes the book as a tour of archaeological sites, culture, cuisine, customs, folklore, traditions, museums, religious temples, mosques, churches, markets, beaches and much more on the Arab country, and it also discusses a bit of the Brazilian presence in Lebanon. It also covers the wine route, where the Phoenician forefathers were the first to ferment juice from the grape varieties that grew along the sides of Mount Lebanon, 5,000 years ago. <\/p>\n The book has 454 pages’ worth of information and photos, and according to the publisher, it is the only complete guide to Lebanon published in Portuguese. The author is a native of Brazil’s Paraná state and currently lives in Lebanon. He has studied Middle Eastern History, Theology and Religions, and has over 20 books out in Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and Arabic.
