The official inflation numbers were released this Wednesday (9th) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>With the result, the IPCA is now up 2.18% in the first two months of the year, a 0.3 percentage point reduction from the 2.48% rate registered in the comparable period in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>In the 12 months through February, inflation stood at 10.36%, also less than the 10.71% rate in the preceding 12 months.
