{"id":53776,"date":"2016-04-07T14:01:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-07T16:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escaesco.com.br\/lab\/anba\/industrial-production-declined-in-11-areas\/"},"modified":"2019-06-30T12:53:50","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T15:53:50","slug":"industrial-production-declined-in-11-areas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/industrial-production-declined-in-11-areas\/","title":{"rendered":"Industrial production declined in 11 areas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rio de Janeiro &ndash; The decline of 2.5% in the Brazilian industrial production in February over January of this year reflects the retraction in industrial parks in 11 of 14 metro areas surveyed by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), which released this Thursday (7) its Monthly Survey of Industry &ndash; Regional Physical Production. <\/p>\n<p>The data shows that, in the seasonally adjusted series, the sharpest declines were registered in Bahia, where it reached 7.9%, and Amazon, with 4.7%, the ninth consecutive fall in the state. Also ending February with falls sharper than the national average were the Northeast region with 3.6%; Santa Catarina (-3.3%); and Cear&aacute; (-2.8%). Pernambuco had the same fall of the national average at 2.5%. In S&atilde;o Paulo, the largest industrial park in the country, the decline in February over January was 2.1%.
