The event is part of the organization&rsquo;s once-a-month Lecture Cycle. <\/p>\n<p>Magnoli holds a doctorate degree in Human Geography from the School of Philosophy, Language and Human Sciences (FFLCH) of the University of S&atilde;o Paulo. He edited the books <em>Hist&oacute;ria das guerras<\/em> and is the author of <em>Uma gota de sangue &#8211; hist&oacute;ria do pensamento racial<\/em>, among other books.<\/p>\n<p>Magnoli was a columnist for newspaper <em>O Estado de S. Paulo <\/em>from 2006 to 2013; he currently writes columns for the dailies <em>Folha de S.Paulo<\/em>, from S&atilde;o Paulo, and <em>O Globo<\/em>, from Rio de Janeiro. His books cover domestic politics and international relations, his specialty subjects, which he also discusses on cable TV channel GloboNews&rsquo; <em>Jornal das Dez<\/em> newscast.<\/p>\n<p>This won&rsquo;t be his first time at the Arab Chamber. In November 2014, during president Dilma Rousseff&rsquo;s administration, he spoke on Brazil&rsquo;s presence in global trade, and on how the country struggled to join the international supply chain. <\/p>\n<p>He remarked that the country had ceased to prioritize exports to the United States, the majority of which were finished goods, in exchange for a wide-ranging partnership to supply commodities to developing countries, especially China.
