On Sunday (28), the university held a tribute ceremony to the 20-year-old athlete. The information is from the Jordanian news agency <em>Petra<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He&rsquo;s a source of pride and model student, who truly belongs to his country and his university. We are proud of his achievement and holding Jordan&rsquo;s flag high&rdquo;, said the University of Jordan&rsquo;s president Azmi Mahafzah, according to <em>Petra<\/em>. The president promised the university&rsquo;s full support to Abughaush in his search for more titles.<\/p>\n<p>The athlete gave thanks for the support and expressed hope that his achievement will encourage other Jordanian athletes to search for great results. <\/p>\n<p>Abughaush beat in the final Alexey Denisenko, from Russia, who won bronze in London 2012 in the 58 kg category. In the semifinals, he beat Joel Gonzalez, from Spain.
