In August, cereals, oilseeds and pulses are expected to amount to 186.1 million tons, down 11.1% from last year&rsquo;s record 209.4 million ton crop.<\/p>\n<p>The data are from the August edition of crop survey Levantamento Sistem&aacute;tico da Produ&ccedil;&atilde;o Agr&iacute;cola (LSPA), made public this Tuesday (6) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). Harvest area estimate is also down 0.4% from last year, from 57.6 million to 57.4 million hectares. <\/p>\n<p>Rice, maize and soy remain the biggest crop, with a combined 92.6% share of total output, and 87.8% of harvest area.
