The rate stands well beyond the upper limit of the federal government&rsquo;s established target, which is 6.5%. In July, the IPCA reached 8.74% year-to-year. The data was released this Friday (9) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE). <\/p>\n<p>Considering only August&rsquo;s results, the IPCA stood at 0.44%. The rate was 0.52% in July of this year and 0.22% in August of last year.
