{"id":55347,"date":"2016-10-06T17:02:00","date_gmt":"2016-10-06T19:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/escaesco.com.br\/lab\/anba\/vehicle-exports-up\/"},"modified":"2019-06-30T12:50:53","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T15:50:53","slug":"vehicle-exports-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/vehicle-exports-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Vehicle exports up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S&atilde;o Paulo &ndash; Vehicle exports from Brazil grossed nearly USD 1 billion in September, up 18.4% from September 2015, the National Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Association (Anfavea) said this Thursday (4). <\/p>\n<p>From January to September, however, export revenues shrank 3.2%, from the year-ago period, to USD 7.7 billion. <\/p>\n<p>The amount of units exported increased in both comparisons. September saw 38,779 vehicles sold, up 15.8% from September 2015. From January to September, 351,175 units were shipped abroad, a 19.2% increase over the comparable period in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The Anfavea said exports of higher value-added products were up in September, hence the increase in both amount and revenue. <\/p>\n<p>On the domestic front, according to the government news outlet <em>Ag&ecirc;ncia Brasil<\/em>, 160,000 vehicles were sold in September, down 20.1% from a year ago. Year-to-date through September, 1.5 million units were sold, a 22.8% drop from a year ago. <\/p>\n<p>Production slid 2.2% in September to 170,000 units.
