São Paulo – A lecture on Ancient Egyptian religion will be delivered on Saturday (29), 11 am at Fundação Ema Klabin, São Paulo. The speaker will be the former Louvre Museum board advisor Cintia Gama.<\/p>\n

She will cover a number of aspects of how religion was experienced in Ancient Egypt. “We will deal with the gods, the funeral religion, individual faith, and the rituals. We will evince the thoroughly unique features of that people and their gods,” press material quotes Gama as saying. <\/p>\n

She is a professor of History of Gastronomy, a former science advisor to the Department of Egyptian Antiquities at the Louvre Museum, and a former member of two archaeological missions to Egypt – a French mission to Tanis and an Italian one to Luxor’s Tomb of Harwa.<\/p>\n

Gama holds a degree in History from the University of São Paulo (USP), a master’s in Archaeology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and a doctorate in Egyptian Religion from Sorbonne’s École Pratique des Hautes Étude in Paris, France.<\/p>\n
