The Brazil Commodities Index (IC-Br) computed monthly by the Central Bank increased by 0.1% in October from September. The index was down 14.42% in the 12 months through October and down 10.71% year-to-date through October.<\/p>\n<p>The IC-Br tracks the prices (in Brazilian currency) of Brazilian commodities traded in other countries. Last month, the prices of energy commodities (oil, natural gas and charcoal) rose by 6.78%, with metal commodities (aluminum, iron ore, copper, tin, zinc, lead and nickel) up 0.57%.
