The information was made public by the Brazilian federal government, based on data from the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). According to the GWEC, Brazil&rsquo;s wind power generation capacity widened by 2,014 MW in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, Brazil became the ninth biggest wind power generation capacity in the world, at 10,740 megawatts (MW), and the biggest in Latin America.
