The output was 5.6% higher than in quarter three and 63.3% higher than in quarter four 2015, when the plant shut down for maintenance. <\/p>\n<p>Vale said the quarter-on-quarter output hike was due to &ldquo;productivity gains and increased physical availability at the plant&rsquo;s facilities during Q4.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The company&rsquo;s total Q4 pellets production also reached a record at 12.6 million tons, up 4.5% from Q3 and 21.6% from Q4 2015.
