São Paulo – Enterprises and state-run agencies from Arab countries will be involved in two industry shows beginning this Tuesday (4) in São Paulo: World Travel Market (WTM) Latin America, for the tourism industry, and Intermodal, for logistics and transportation. Both events will continue until Thursday (6).<\/p>\n

Joining the annually-held WTM will be the Egyptian Tourism Authority; The Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, along with a delegation of tour operators; and Emirates Airline, which offers daily Dubai-São Paulo and Dubai-Rio de Janeiro flights.<\/p>\n

Emirates is looking to advertise the fact that its Dubai-São Paulo route is flown by an Airbus A380. The world’s biggest passenger airplane first flew into São Paulo on March 27, replacing its predecessor the Boeing 777-300ER.<\/p>\n

This will be WTM Latin America’s fifth edition. Last year, according to the organization, sales between visitors and exhibitors reached USD 370 million. The trade show is for business owners and industry professionals.<\/p>\n

The Sohar Port and Free Zone, in Oman, will exhibit at Intermodal. The Arab country has been intensely promoting the venture abroad. Brazilian mining company Vale has an iron ore pellet plant and a maritime terminal there.<\/p>\n

The maritime transportation company I-cargo Alliance, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is also being expected at the trade show.<\/p>\n

Intermodal is in its 23th edition. In 2016, according to the organization, the fair had over 600 exhibitors from 26 countries and 45,000 visitors.<\/p>\n
