Shipped amount was up 69.7% from Q1 2016 to 172,700 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>March was also the best month ever for industry exports at 68,500 units sold, including automobiles, light vehicles, trucks and bus chassis, up 64.4% from March 2016 and up 3.3% from February 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Export revenue soared by 51.5% in Q1, to USD 3.3 billion, from USD 2.2 billion in Q1 2016.<\/p>\n<p>In March alone, revenue reached USD 1.330 billion, up 57.4% from March 2016 and 11.3% from February 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Foreign sales are fuelling output growth for the Brazilian industry. Q1 saw 609,800 units made, up 24% from Q1 2016. Output in March was 234,700, up 18.1% from March 2016 and 17.1% from February.<\/p>\n<p>Production-wise, March was the best month for the industry since March 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Domestic sales recovered slightly last month at 189,100 vehicles sold, a 5.5% increase over March 2016 and up 39.4% from February.
