Women’s Perspective<\/em> starting next Thursday (11). The photo exhibit will display over 50 images taken by 31 Brazilian women portraying the most varied of topics.<\/p>\nThe images are portraits, landscapes, scenes from everyday life, among other topics chosen by the photographers. All the photos were taken in Brazil at different points in time.<\/p>\n
The photographers’ work was carried out under the direction of Brazilian photographer Renato Negrão. Visual artist and Brazil’s ambassadress in Jordan Ivana Panizzi was the curator.<\/p>\n
In addition to the original pics, the exhibition will also feature manipulated images. To Negrão, this combination of different types of images in a collective exhibition allows for a broader reflection on contemporary photography.<\/p>\n
Since 2015, Negrão has been organizing exhibitions in the Middle East, Canada and several Brazilian cities. “My goal is to gather as many photographers as possible. We are in the age of the collective, of joining forces and celebrating photography,” he said in a statement.<\/p>\n
At the opening cocktail party, in addition to Negrão, the expert on Human Rights and Gender Issues, Ana Letícia Medeiros, will speak. The exhibition runs until April 28.<\/p>\n
