They\u2019re due to perform on April 19 at Sala S\u00e3o Paulo, a concert hall in S\u00e3o Paulo, opening the 2017 season of the International Concerts Series hosted by the Association for Children and Adolescents with Cancer (Tucca).<\/p>\n<p>This is the duo\u2019s first time playing in Brazil. They have played over 150 concerts around the world, in places including New York, Beijing, Tokyo and South Korea. \u201cWe would like to play in Arab countries, but we haven\u2019t had the chance yet,\u201d the singers told ANBA via email. <\/p>\n<p>It all began in 2008 at the Oslo Opera House, in the Norwegian capital, as Kohlberg invited Haroni to play in a recital for peace. The audience reaction was great, and they went on performing together in addition to their solo careers. <\/p>\n<p>In S\u00e3o Paulo, they will play compositions by Wolfgang Mozart, Naomi Shemer, Alexey Kurbatov, Darius Milhaud, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Sergei Rachmaninoff. One of the duo\u2019s own pieces, \u201cBraziliera,\u201d will be a special dedication to the concertgoers at Sala S\u00e3o Paulo. \u201cWe also have a special encore in case the audience asks for it,\u201d they said. <\/p>\n<p>They are anxious to play the concert at Sala S\u00e3o Paulo. All proceeds will go to the treatment of disadvantaged children and adolescents with cancer, who get treated at the Santa Marcelina Hospital, in partnership with Tucca, in Itaquera, a neighborhood in east side S\u00e3o Paulo. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have heard good things about Brazil and the Brazilians. We want to make new friends.
