The space will be organized by the Brazilian embassy in the Arab country, and it will feature building company Andrade Gutierrez and electric motor maker WEG.<\/p>\n<p><!--[{![cemb_9_713450_2]!}]--><\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian ambassador in Algiers, Eduardo Botelho Barbosa, said there is still space available for other Brazilian enterprises to join up. Would-be exhibitors must get in touch &ldquo;as soon as possible&rdquo; with the head of the embassy&rsquo;s commercial promotion sector, Ronald Cardoso Mendes J&uacute;nior, by email at ronald.mendes@itamaraty.gov.br.<\/p>\n<p>Algeria is one of Brazil&rsquo;s leading trade partners in the Arab world. Exports from Brazil to Algeria reached USD 325 million from January to March, up 34.5% from the comparable period in 2016, according to data from the Ministry of Industry, Foreign Trade and Services. The top-selling items were sugar, maize, soy oil, beef and road implements.<\/p>\n<p>Algeria sold USD 802 million worth of goods in Q1 to Brazil, up 128.5% from Q1 2016. Products included naphtha, crude oil, urea, phosphates and liquefied gas. <\/p>\n<p>The trade show is a multi-industry event, and according to the Algeria embassy in Bras&iacute;lia, this year it will feature a special program designed to mark its 50th anniversary.<\/p>\n<p>The schedule includes debates on promoting non-oil exports, the role of trade shows and related activities to the development of Algeria&rsquo;s economy, and business matchmaking sessions for companies in industries including services, construction, public works, agribusiness, steelworks and mechanical, energy, chemicals and petrochemicals, and process industries in general.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers are expecting some 1,000 local and international exhibitors.
