According to the Monthly Survey of Industry, made public this Wednesday (3) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the indicator continues without a positive result in 2017 in this type of comparison.<\/p>\n<p>However, production increased 1.1% in comparison to March 2016 and 0.6% year-to-date. Year-over-year, the indicator has declined 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>Fifteen of the 24 industrial activities surveyed registered a decline in production between February and March, with the sharpest drops being motor vehicles, trailers and bodies (-7.5%), pharmaceuticals (-23.8%) and coke, oil products and biofuels (-3.3%).<\/p>\n<p>Among the nine sectors that increased production in March, food products stood out with 1.3%.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*Translated by S&eacute;rgio Kakitani<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The decline was from February to March.
