Here, the increased throughout was a result of the Umrah, or &ldquo;minor pilgrimage,&rdquo; which Muslims make to Mecca outside the Hajj period, according to <em>TAP<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Average aircraft occupancy rate climbed from 68.1% in April 2016 to 76.8% in April 2017.<\/p>\n<p><em>TAP<\/em> also said that 71.6% of passengers flew along the company&rsquo;s Europe routes. Flights to other African countries amounted to 19% of total throughput, with the Middle East accounting for 13.6%.
