In June from May, foreign sales climbed by 6.8%.<\/p>\n<p>H1 best-sellers included logistics and civil construction machinery, with a 24% increase in sales, and farming machinery, with a 43% increment in foreign sales. <\/p>\n<p>An Abimaq press release highlights the performance of the machinery parts industry in June, with exports going up 2.6% on the back of industrial valves. <\/p>\n<p>Region-wise, Latin America was the biggest buyer at USD 1.8 billion, up 18% from H1 2016. The United States came in second at USD 747 million, up 11.6%. The third biggest importer of Brazilian capital goods was Europe, and China placed fourth. The latter two stepped down their imports year-on-year in H1. <\/p>\n<p>Imports of machinery and equipment to Brazil declined by 28% to USD 6 billion in H1 and by 56% to USD 1 billion in June alone.
